We just went on our first camping trip of the year. There was a nice variety of weather - sun, wind and rain, to keep things interesting. ;) Still, it was a wonderful time and we loved being out of doors through it all.
Fina and Kaya went on a long hike into the forest.
There used to be gold mines around here, and Fina searched for a nugget in a pile of tailings. She never found any gold, but hopes to go back and try again.
The views here are amazing and worth pondering.
Meanwhile, the Domos did a bit of mountain climbing. Go, Little D!
One day we went to the nearby town of Rollinsville. It's tiny and hasn't changed much in the last hundred plus years.
Mei and Fanchette (her bunny) spent most of their time looking for wildflowers.
While we were camping I knit Mei a sweater set for the cool evenings.
The sun was setting here, giving a glow to Mei's face.
And finally, the view from our camp. Puppy snuck into the photo in the lower righthand corner! :)
Doll Dance is a place for sharing the various dolls that live here. They are all sizes, shapes and ages and all are loved.

A Good Summer Read
Coco found a great book for summer reading. She has a funny feeling that she is going to really like this one. Maybe that's because her full name is Clover Anne. Coco is just a nickname.

Pool Party
The best thing to do on a hot summer day is have a pool party. Fina invited some friends over for a dip.
A shot of the whole gang.
Wheeeeee! Fina loves the slide.
Coco is on duty as the lifeguard, always keeping her two big eyes on things.
"Catch me!" says Little Domo.
"I'm okay." says Poppy, who is actually afraid of the water. I think Coco should give swimming lessons.
And finally, Thyme has her own ducky tube to float around in.

Winky in Fairyland
Today I took Winky to the creek when we went for a walk.
We followed a path into the woods.
Winky listened to the babbling of the creek. She seemed to understand what it was saying.
This stump was the perfect size for a seat for a tiny fairy.
She looked for fellow fairies in the hollow of a tree.
Tiny Winky is a great little companion to take on a walk.
