In which we head to Las Vegas

It's spring break and we are going to Las Vegas! Our person and her husband do not gamble, but are trying to see every Cirque du Soliel show and will see a new one. However, the most important decision has been which of us Hittys gets to go along. I am the usual traveler around here, but we had to discuss this just to be fair. Hitty Maria is the smart one and said she can count cards, but our person did not think that was a good idea. Hitty Isabella is busy decorating her Spanish Mansion (now known as Casa Bonita) and Hitty Benita is anxious to get started gardening. So I will be the one to travel again!

Since I am the adventurous type I will insist we get some exercise and wander around the desert while the teenage humans "hang" at the pool (as they say.) We will have photos to share when we return next week.

Plastic Spanish Mansion (from our person)

Hitty Isabella was in my purse when I stopped by the local flea market the other day. I enjoy wandering through this crazy place and it is usually quite empty on weekdays, but this time it was packed with people everywhere. Must be the economy.

I stopped in one of my favorite booths and heard a tiny voice shouting "¡Mira! ¡Mira!" ("Look! Look!") The sound was coming from my purse.

"Hush!" I whispered while looking around nervously, hoping no one could hear me. "Pero..." ("But...") said the little voice before I could clamp my hand over her tiny mouth.

And then I saw it! A Spanish mansion. OK, a plastic Spanish mansion, but NOT pink and really quite nice and in perfect condition. It had a beautiful plastic tile roof, and a balcony complete with plastic wrought iron railing. I am a sucker for all types of doll houses and had to admit this could be useful. As I started to remove my hand I heard the mumble "...casa bonita..." (beautiful house) and realized we were going to bring this large but interesting find home.

So here we are with our newest Hitty house, which will be called, appropriately, "Casa Bonita." It comes complete with Hitty Isabella on the balcony. Just kidding, but that is where she spends all of her time now. I swear she looks like she is about to burst into song with "Don't Cry For Me Argentina."
